ASIA PACIFIC

SCHOOL OF MISSIONS

The Asia Pacific School of Missions has been tremendously successful in many aspects: equipping seasoned leaders with new perspectives in ministry, giving current ministers continuous feedback and learning thru their role as trainers and mentors, and more importantly, raising the next generation of leaders. The scholarship that every student receives enables them to apply into practical ministry what they learn in the APSOM classroom sessions. As the official source of our hiring pool in the Philippine Family of Churches, our two-year course has produced graduates who are have gone into the ministry (full time and part-time). Since the first batch of graduates in 2017, 21 have already gone into service in the ministry, 9 of them full- time. Just this January, we have signed up and hired 5 new graduates who are now leading churches in their own geographical regions! And in the next year, we are already looking to hire more NextGen leaders as we move to the next decade.

Meet Nathaniel.

APSOM played a crucial part in enabling me to serve in the full-time ministry. I learned to love God more, to build his church and to be passionate for the mission. It’s an honor to work side by side with my classmates as fellow church leaders and our mentors as colleagues in the ministry. Last year, to help meet the growing needs of the church I enrolled in RMSMT to pursue higher learning in the area of Christian Counseling. I’m grateful to God for this humbling and life-changing experience. To all who made APSOM possible, thank you very much!

Meet Yza.

Two years ago, I've been given the privilege to serve in the most dynamic ministry of our church—Campus! Though having been blessed to be raised by a village of church leaders, I knew nothing about the practicals of leadership. All I had was a willing heart. Last July 2019, I’ve been given the opportunity to be an APSOM scholar. For the past several months of attending the sessions, I’ve learned a lot about the heart and practicals of leading in the Kingdom. It helped boost my confidence so much more in handling the ministry, helped me be more connected to others, and helped mobilize me so that I can be more effective.

Today, I am part of the leadership of the vibrant Envolve Ministry (ICOC Philippines’ Campus) that aims to innovate evangelism by utilizing the power of social media and events among millennials and GenZs. I’m grateful to APSOM for helping equip me for this noble service of advancing the Kingdom for the next generation.
