ABOUT THE BEAM MISSIONS FOUNDATION

WHO WAS TOM BEAM ?

Tom Beam and Bob Gempel (Elder in the Boston Church of Christ)

Tom Beam was a man who was a successful entrepreneur with a big heart for missions.

In 1953, a young Oklahoma City entrepreneur started fabricating and installing automotive seat covers. His name was Tom Beam. In 1955, shortly after factory-installed seatbelts were introduced in new vehicles, Tom Beam saw the potential in automotive aftermarket seatbelts and started his company called Beam’s Seatbelts.

He had a vision for the future of high impact missions and wanted to make a difference and give as many people as possible a chance to know the gospel around the world. In this spirit the schools of missions have been established through his generous donation:

To train and equip the next generation to go and make disciples of all nations.

Thanks to his generous donation ten schools across the globe have received grants and graduates have been sent to cities and countries to lead and plant churches, armed and ready to build God’s kingdom for the future. With your help we can ensure that other schools are established and more young people can be trained and fulfill their dreams of serving God’s people all over the world.
